Nestled in the heart of Acadiana, Berchmans is a Sacred Heart school where boys flourish.  For more than twenty years, we have provided an exceptional educational experience designed specifically for boys, rooted in the timeless values of Sacred Heart education.

I have witnessed the transformative power of Sacred Heart education in a deeply personal way. My son is a graduate of our brother Sacred Heart school in Houston, where I had the privilege of serving for many years. I have seen how the Goals and Criteria become a lifelong foundation, cultivating a deep faith in God, intellectual curiosity, compassion for others, strong relationships, and thoughtful discernment. It is an extraordinary honor to return home to Sacred Heart and serve as Head of School. Each boy arrives with unique gifts and limitless potential. Our role is to help him discover those gifts, strengthen his confidence, and inspire him to become the person God is calling him to be. In an environment designed specifically for boys, students are encouraged to explore, question, lead, and grow with courage and purpose.

Our campus reflects the rich heritage and global mission of Sacred Heart education. Inspired by the vision of St. Madeleine Sophie Barat, Sacred Heart education has been a part of Grand Coteau for more than 200 years.  Today, Berchmans Academy is connected to a network of 25 Sacred Heart schools in the United States and Canada and more than 150 Sacred Heart schools around the world.  This international community challenges our students to think beyond themselves and prepare to make a meaningful difference wherever life leads them.
