The Academy of the Sacred Heart and Berchmans Academy are independent, Catholic, co-institutional college-preparatory institutions. The Academy of the Sacred Heart, founded in 1821, offers instruction to girls, one-year-old through twelfth grade. Berchmans Academy, founded in 2006, offers instruction to boys, one-year old through twelfth grade.

The Admissions Coordinator position ensures the vitality of the Goals and Criteria of the Sacred Heart by positively promoting the Academy of the Sacred Heart and Berchmans Academy and assisting families through the admissions process. This position reports to the Director of Admissions. The Office of Admissions is a fast-paced department that is responsible for serving prospective students and their families. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, recruitment, community outreach, admissions counseling, timely correspondence with prospective families and students, maintaining accurate admissions data, student application file management/review, and assisting with all aspects of the enrollment process in order to achieve enrollment goals. This team member will serve as a representative of the Academy of the Sacred Heart and Berchmans Academy and its goals, and support all admission events and activities.
duties
- Represent the Academy of the Sacred Heart and Berchmans Academy and the Goals and Criteria to prospective students, parents, school representatives, and other individuals of organizations involved in the independent/private school selection process.
- In close consultation with the Director of Admissions, plan and implement recruitment activities, including visiting feeder schools, neighborhood coffee gatherings, tutoring centers, recruitment fairs, and other venues.
- Counsel and assist prospective applicants and families with the admissions process, including application, release of school records, ISEE entrance exam, school visit day, parent/student interviews, and all requirements to ensure that students and families are well prepared and have accurate expectations.
- Maintain complete records in Salesforce and Blackbaud
- Assist peers of the Admissions office with ISEE testing arrangements, as needed.
- Collaborate with members of the Advancement team providing updated student and parent information regularly and after reenrolment.
- Work with students, parents, and/or alumnae organizations that assist with the recruitment of students.
- Provide follow-up to families via phone, letters, email, and scheduled appointments.
- Maintain accurate data regarding inquiries, applying, enrolling, current, and withdrawn students, and gradutes.
- Complete routine reports related to recruitment, enrollment projections, and student statuses.
- Assist with enrollment of international students as needed.
- Comply with school admissions' policies and standards.
- Maintain strict confidentiality with regard to prospective students and current student information.
- Assist with reenrollment of current families.
- Coordinate the transfer of admitted student files to school registrars during the summer.
- Coordinate acceptance packets for new students/families.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions.

- Mastery in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Suite, Blackbaud, and Salesforce
- Experience in schools, school administration, or equivalent experience in a related field is valued but not required
