WELCOMEAs I drive up to our beautiful campus each day, I can't help but remember my time as a Sacred Heart student.  All of the teachers, RSCJ, traditions, even the cows who welcome me as I turn on to Academy Road, remind me of those cherished days spent on campus.  I was blessed to be a student at the Academy for 8 years!  When I was here, First Prep was the first grade that was offered.  Had it been now, I'm sure that I would have been one of the Les Enfants  students.  I'm so happy that I am able to share my Sacred Heart experience with my granddaughter and two grandsons who are just beginning their Sacred Heart journey.  I can't wait to sing Coeur de Jesus and our school song with them!

Over the past 200 years, some things have changes, but so many of our traditions remain the same... Blue Ribbons, Gouter, Alumnae Weekend, Feast Day Masses for Mater, St. Rose Philippine Duchesne, St. John Berchmans, and St. Madeleine Sophie Barat, Christmas at Coteau, Conge, May Crowning, just to name a few.  I invite all of you to come home to Sacred Heart any time you are in our area, join us for feast day masses or any of our special events, especially Alumnae Weekend, when all alumnae are invited back to campus to reminisce about their time here, see old friends, and fill their hearts with the spirit of Sacred Heart.

I am so thankful for the opportunity to serve as your Director of Alumnae and Alumni.  It is definitely a joy to be on our campus each and every day, to walk in the front gardens where so many have walked, to pray in the Chapel where so many of our beloved RSCJ have prayed, and to hear the laughter of children playing on the playground.  We are blessed to be children of the Sacred Heart.
